Frequently Asked Questions
Are you accepting new patients?
Where do these fleas and ticks come from?
Fleas and ticks like warm weather, but also like shade and a certain degree of humidity. This means that they prefer to gather in tall grasses, shrubs in your yard or garden.
Fleas are easily transmitted from animal to animal.
Aren't fleas and ticks just a problem in the summer?
Fleas and ticks breed and grow in temperate environments – but in this era of modern climate control, this temperate environment can easily include your home.
It makes more sense to view fleas and ticks as a year-round threat to your pet’s health and comfort.
What other health problems can fleas cause?
Fleas can transmit hemobartenellosis, tapeworms, and other health threats.
